Why do you CrossFit?

I thoroughly value opportunities to push myself outside my comfort zone and feel this should be done on a regular basis. Also, since beginning CrossFit I have become stronger and fitter while actually spending LESS time at the gym!

What do you like about coaching?

I’m a big encourager, motivator and cheerleader for bodies in general.  I really enjoy helping people feel proud, confident, and good in their bodies.  In my experience working with people, there is a lot of negative body talk out there, and my goal is to change those thoughts, maybe offer a new perspective on how to think about something, and provide that space for authentic appreciation of our bodies. When we feel good in our bodies we do better in life, and of course kill it in the WODs!

What is your favorite movement?

The snatch. It’s complicated, challenging, and beautiful all at the same time.

Favorite post-workout meal?

Perfectly grilled salmon and sweet potato mash.

What is one fun fact about you outside the gym?

Closeted racecar driver.
