Class Descriptions

FUNDAMENTALS

Prerequisite: none.

New to CrossFit?  Our FUNDAMENTALS class is the perfect place to start and serves as a prerequisite to any of our regular CrossFit classes.  Each one-hour CrossFit Grow class includes a group warm-up, individualized programmed strength training, and a group WOD (workout of the day or metabolic conditioning).  In our 8-session FUNDAMENTALS class we incorporate each of these elements while moving at a more relaxed pace in order to introduce beginners to the foundational movements of CrossFit.  Safety and technique are essential to success and enjoyment with any weightlifting movement, and over eight classes you will be given the foundation you need to confidently join any regular CrossFit Grow class once your FUNDAMENTALS series is complete.  FUNDAMENTALS classes are capped at six members per session to ensure plenty of attention from your trainer.  Join at any time and commit to eight consecutive sessions in order to jumpstart your CrossFit journey.

CROSSFIT--GROUP CLASS

Prerequisite:  Eight-session FUNDAMENTALS class at CrossFit Grow or previous experience with CrossFit classes at another location (see trainer if questions).

CrossFit Grow GROUP CLASS is the classic CrossFit experience.  Our experienced trainers will lead the group through an hour-long session that includes group warm-up activities, individualized programmed strength training, and a group WOD (workout of the day).  With a focus on functional and constantly varied movement, each class provides a new opportunity for building strength, challenging your stamina and finding success in a positive and supportive group setting.  Each 60 minute class is capped at 12 participants in order to ensure a safe environment with adequate trainer attention for each member. 

Schedule: M/W/F: 5 am, 6 am, 8:30 am, 12 pm, 4:30 pm, 5:30 pm 

                  T/Th: 5 am, 11 am, 12 pm, 4:30 pm, 5:30 pm

                   Sat: 9 am

                   


CROSSFIT KIDS:

Prerequisite: age 5; ability to focus and respectfully participate in a group setting for 45 minutes.

CrossFit isn’t just for adults!  Our CROSSFIT KIDS class offers youth ages 5-13 a chance to experience CrossFit and be introduced to a variety of basic weightlifting and conditioning experiences at an age-appropriate level.  Team-taught by two of our CrossFit Grow trainers, CROSSFIT KIDS is a great starting place for youth fitness as well as a fabulous supplement for youth athletes involved in other sports or fitness pursuits.

CrossFit Grow occasionally offers specialized 6-week challenge sessions to encourage new members and those that have taken a longer break from the fitness world to rediscover health and vitality through CrossFit.   The six-week challenge offers a longer and more comprehensive introduction than our eight-session fundamentals class and meets you where you’re at.  As with other CrossFit classes, each session is one hour and incorporates individualized strength training and group metabolic conditioning sessions, with early sessions featuring less intensity and becoming more challenging over the length of the program.
